We invite you to join us at our award winning Inn for a relaxing visit in our 1836 Sea Captain's home in the Historic Village of Winterport, Maine.  Come celebrate a bygone era in our beautifully decorated Inn, surrounding yourself in luxury and comfort.

 Let us pamper you as you enjoy your full, home cooked candlelight breakfast in our Sunroom while enjoying a warm
fire on those cool Maine mornings.  The Sunroom is also a common area for our guests to enjoy any time during their stay. 
Our beautifully decorated bedrooms offer queen size beds, and private baths for your comfort.  For added convenience our rooms also have air conditioning and free high speed Internet access . 

The Mermaid Cove Inn is a wonderful place that everyone can enjoy.  From the single person seeking adventure, to married couples enjoying a romantic getaway, it's a refreshing haven of escape.  For those looking for a unique elegant experience, we offer Victorian Tea Parties, by appointment, for 4-16 people.  For the kayaker and canoe buff, tour our Canoe and Kayak Shop and experience firsthand the beautiful artwork of a handmade woodstrip canoe or kayak.

While in our quaint Village of Winterport, take the walking tour (map provided) and see for yourself the wonder and beauty our Village has to offer.  After taking a walk past the beautiful Penobscot, you can visit some of our local businesses including gift shops (also on premises), antiques, and a wine gallery.  Our guests will receive a 10% discount on their purchase from our gift shop!

We are conveniently located 12 miles from Bangor, 11 miles from Searsport which offers a variety of Quality antique shops as well as the Maritime Museum, 41miles from Camden where you can enjoy  day trips of sailing and shopping, 54 miles from Bar Harbor and 65 miles from Acadia National Park.  We are also near the famous historic site Fort Knox as well as Moose Point State Park on the seacoast.

The Mermaid Cove Inn was one of the attractions in the 2005 Garden Tour of Winterport, and winner of the 2006 award for the Town Beautification Project presented by the Winterport Women's Club.  We are also award winners from BedandBreakfast.com
